KaboodleMum here with a new Crochet skill to share and a lovely free pattern for you to try!
This is a picture of the pattern which I will share below, if you keep scrolling you will find the video to help you learn the way to crochet in a tubular shape which you will then be able to use to make this scarf!
What you will need;
- 2 x100g balls of DK weight yarn in your colour choices. (You wont use it all for the scarf but save what you don’t use for a hat pattern coming next week!)
- 4mm hook
- yarn needle
- slst – Slip stitch
- dc – double crochet
- ch- chain
- st – stitch
Ch 130 (this is for the pattern shown exactly, if you want a longer scarf make a longer foundation chain, 150 for mid length, 170 for longer length)
Round 1; (in colour A) slst into the first ch of your foundation ch to create ring, ch 3, dc into each st around, slst into the beginning chain, to complete the round.
Round 2; ch 3, dc into the gap between the posts all the way around, slst into the beginning ch to complete the round.
Repeat round 2 for round 3 and 4, change to colour B on the last yarn over of round 4.
Round 5; (in colour B) ch 3, dc into the gap between each st around, slst into the beginning chain to complete the round,
Repeat round 5 for a further 4 rounds, swap back to colour A on the last Yarn over of round 9.
Round 10; (in colour A) ch 3, dc into the gap between each st around, slst into the beginning chain to complete the round
Repeat round 10 for a further 3 rounds, slst and tie off at the end of round 14. This completes the scarf. Weave in any ends.
