It’s the time of year I love, Autumn. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I love the autumn, I love the way the colours change and everything slowly but surely edges closer to Christmas. It’s the time of year we get the most exciting events, the four best days of the year happen in the last three months of the year(for me anyway); Halloween, Bonfire Night, My birthday, Christmas! I really cant complain about the last quarter of the year, it really is just the best!
What’s even better about this time of year is the crafts that can be done with special themes, As you know, we craft all year long but having a special theme to get your creativity flowing is always nice and first up on our autumnal craft list were Paper Plate Pumpkins!
These were super fun and even easier to make! Miss Kaboodle had lots of fun painting the plates and then when the time came, sticking on the features.
What you’re gong to need;
- paper plates
- orange paint
- paint brushes
- black card
- sticky tape
What you need to do;
While the plates dry, with the black card,
cut out facial features for the pumpkins!
After your features have dried in place,
take the string and the sticky tape.
Cut lengths of the sting about 6-8inches long,
fold them in half and stick them down with
the tape onto the back of the plates.
You can hang them around the house individually or, like me
you could attach two or three together by sticking
the sting from the top of one plate to the bottom
of another plate with the sticky tape!
And that’s how to make some super cool Halloween decorations! You could take it even further and add of some leaves, I even toyed with the idea of turning one or two of these into masks!
